A peacemaker

I got a pacemaker a year ago,and I was warned f.e. airport's security check-gates. I have a warning card for those.

When visited Hong Kong and Shanghai I walked through the security checkpoints, At Helsinki the officer said "no problem, it does not hurt your pacer, just walk through..." I did and I felt simply nothing. The gate did not alert, either.

Then when leaving Hong Kong the officer was afraid: "You got a pacer?!" Yes, I said. Looked at the poor officer, and remembered what I was told at Helsinki, and walked through the gate. Just silence. My pacer was calm and steady.

But when I used my pacer-card at Sanghai airport the officer was alarmed. "Take gate nr 5!" I turned back and tried to see where is gate #5. Luckily a polite officer joined me and we went to the gate # 5. There was just two kind female security officers, they checked me with their sensitive fingers... Shortly I had to join my group. And when flying over the Siberian back to Finland I still had a nice memory. O Shanghai's security check! I'll return, some day!

This short text I wrote when left Turku when heading towards Lapland:

How to desribe dusty

Kukai Free Format subject was DUST. May 2013.

My personal battlefield:

1.

dusty fields
spring rain flushing
withered [grass]straws

[all the single straws]

single? not married?-)

2.

[spring]rain flushing
all the wither
dusty straws

or

3.

dusty wind
trying to bend
withered straws

Tasted some days, wrote next one:

4.

thin clouds
passing
the new moon -

or/and:

5.

new moon hiding
behind
so thin clouds

?

[an unseen sky]

Then back to business:

6.

a dustied pencil
on an unused paper
email time-outed

and / or:

7.

a pencil made dustied
for a while -
bright rain,
sunny period.

Both meanings for "period"?

Meanwhile had to wash my car:

8.

dusty car
eagerly longing for
to a dusty highway

Somewhat tired? Next from my sketchbook:

9.

on my sketchbook
gathering dust

[nesting dust} ?

Then additional pages lost somehere buried under the heaps of dust, I think.

Hardware

I have looked after some nails, 15 mm and 20 mm. From the city-hardware store there were none 15 mm, and 20 mm were in small plastic bags, 120 nails in each. (Some one counted them all?)

someone
took care of the nails -
a safe plastic bag

I had to wake my old car and head to the country side. Therefrom a big ironmonger / hardware store I found small enough nails. They waited me on the main corridor, "street" # 9 to the left, there they were! Two 0,5 kg bag, = one kilogram together!

My old car waited me, there was a free parking anyway. Drove home. I wonder whether my car found anything?

First of May -
a pair of white clouds
divorced

I wrote this for Bill's Spring-sky.html as a comment.

This was one of some 'developments', as follows:

rapid April
some of the river's ice
[already] divorced

Another sketch was like this:

[rapidly divorced)

dark clouds
whitening -
divorced

First version was from 2nd April 2013:

whole winter
in vain?
April snows melting

Later I rewrote it as this (7th April 2013):

not in vain
whole winter -
new April snows!

This is a copy from the threeliner i wrote today in my Finnish blog.

This is not a sijo, not at all, "Sijo" is a purely Korean poetic form written (in Korean) in three lines of 14 to 16 syllables, distributed according the following breath groups, for a total of 44-46 syllables.

White Noise

White noise is a random signal with a flat (constant) power spectral density.

White noise - signal contains equal power within any frequency band with a fixed width.

(From Wiki.)

1.

That white noise -
snowstorms
with us

This was written some days ago. Trying to "age" it, as a good old wine. Then we got sunny March days.

2.

That white silence -
the snowstorms
left us.

Ejecting a threeliner

Sometimes a writer got an idea from it's quite impossible to get rid of ... Here is one my struggling dated March 2013:

1.

a vomiting cloud
emerging snowflakes
all over

Vomiting; some matter ejected from the stomach through the mouth to throw up. - ?

Checked some synonyms for throw: bowl, cast, fling, heave, hurl, pitch, sling, toss

a tossed cloud?

the clouds heaving
snowflakes
...

next sketch, # 2:

fresh snowflakes
emerging all over -
a vomiting cloud

Not so nice, this whole idea; vomiting cloud?

# 3:

emerged
new whirling snowflakes
all over wintry fields

Rewrote that as

# 4:

new whirling
snowflakes emerging
all over [wintry] fields

- Because "wintry" not needed, there is already at least one snowflake = a winter kigo.
Then I tasted the word "hurl" and tried it:

# 5:

from hurling clouds
snowflakes emerging
all over

next one is the latest on this battlefield:

# 6:

clouds hurling
emerging snowflakes
all over

I think a good poems must include at least one verb. And others say haiku must include a kigo word. Here it is snow(flake) = winter.

So, this seems to be a haiku?
