Bill: dense fog is a mighty element.
When much younger I sailed as a deckboy and O.S. onboard several old merchant vessels which were not equipped with a radar.
When watching the dense fog and imaginating something behind it,,,
Sometimes the ship simply stopped her engine and waited the fog go away. The world was not so in a hurry those days?
